I got great deals on my kids new summer clothes at Berlington Coat Factory this weekend. They have great discounts on clothes Osh Kosh and Carters clothes. I can't wait to get some pictures of them in their new outfits once it gets warmer.

I listened to Rick Barber from the beginning and remember fondly the ole 'Hit and Get' days with Tom Jensen. Happy Birthday Rick - I'll always remember that we're both originally from Oklahoma and that our birthdays are only one day apart and all those late night calls into the studio. While all of the fashion suggestions are true according to this year's trends, these suggestions might not be the best choices for every woman. Each of us needs to consider our own unique shape and what shape a piece of clothing creates on our body. Also, consider what colors are most flattering for your unique skin tone and eye color. Black and white stripes, (especially horizontal) are not the best choice for a lot of ladies with blond or brown hair, or those of us over size 8.

I own a clothing store in West Arvada and I am at least a size 12. I keep trying to cater to all women and because of my size I want to make sure I and women larger than me can shop at my store. I keep trying and believe I am making small successes. I have over ordered on the 3XLs but I want to have them in the store so that when a 3 XL wants something I have it. My biggest problem is when a 1-3 XL comes into the store they assume its a store for smaller girls and do not even look at the items that are available and they only look at the jewelry. Its funny for me to be on this side of it because if you would of asked my five years ago about certain stores I would always say thats a skinny girls store ... now I know that that definition is hard to overcome and I also know you can't please everyone when it comes to sizes. However, I have learned that whenever I enter a store to ask the sales associates what will actually fit me and ask them for their recommendations. They more than anyone know if things will work or will not work its not to their benefit to not recommend an item.

'Curvy' is different from 'really overweight'. Curvy to me means someone has a visible waistline.
